-Dontrelle Willis pitched three scoreless innings with three strikeouts and allowed only one hit in his start for the Marlins
-Erik Bedard pitched three scoreless innings, allowing only one hit and striking out four. He has now pitched six scoreless innings this spring

-Carl Crawford stole two bases; he now has four this spring

-Red Sox backup SS Ed Rogers hit a walk-off grand slam against Mets pitcher Ambiorix Burgos in the 9th

-Carl Pavano, who has missed large portions of each of the last two seasons, started for the Yankees and pitched two innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks

-Possible Orioles ace Erik Bedard pitched two perfect innings, while striking out two in his first spring training game of the year

-Andy Pettitte made his spring debut for the Yankees, and did not allow any hits or walks in two innings.
-All the Yankees runs came on an 8th innings home run by backup 3B Chris Basak

-Braden Looper, who has never started a regular season game, made the start for the Cardinals, and pitched 3 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and a walk.

-Carlos Zambrano made his spring debut for the Cubs, and pitched 2 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts

-Matt Cain made his spring debut for the Giants, and gave up 5 earned runs in 2 innings
-Giants relief pitcher Ryan Meaux did not get off to a good start, allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits while recording just one out

-Chris Young made his spring debut for the Padres, and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in his 2 innings
-Felix Hernandez made his spring debut for the Mariners, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings

-Gil Meche, recently signed by the Royals for 55 million over 5 years, made his spring debut and pitched three scoreless innings. He allowed 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1

-Twins CF Torii Hunter took a fastball to the head in the first inning and had to leave the game, but plans to be back in the lineup on Sunday.

-Reds took the lead in the 5th with 2 run homers by 2B Brandon Phillips and 1B Mark Bellhorn against Pirates RP Salomon Torres
-Pirates CF Luis Matos hit 2 solo homers in his two at-bats

-Astros first four pitchers combined to allow 12 earned runs on 14 hits and 5 walks in 5.2 innings
-Indians catchers combined for a great day: Victor Martinez went 3-for-3 with 3 runs, 3 RBI, and a three-run homer. He was later replaced by Mike Rose, who was 2-for-2 with 2 runs, 2 RBI, and 2 doubles.
-Indians pitcher Cliff Lee will miss his next start on Friday because of an abdominal strain during practice last week.

-Braves starter Kyle Davies got a good start to spring training, where he will be trying to earn a spot in the rotation, by pitching 2 perfect innings
