-Jason Grilli struggled in his relief appearance, allowing 9 runs (7 earned) in 1.1 innings

-Jason Jennings made his Astros debut, striking out 2 and walking 2 in 2 scoreless innings

-Adam Eaton made his Phillies debut, pitching 3 innings and allowing 1 run
-Greg Dobbs continued to hit well for the Phillies, going 4-for-5 with 4 runs and 4 RBI, including a two-run homer in the 5th to give the Phillies their first lead. He went 3-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI on Thursday
D-Rays 5 Blue Jays 4
-Rays OF Jonny Gomes, coming off shoulder surgery, hit 2 home runs and drove in 3 runs

-Mets Jose Reyes hit his 2nd homer of spring training
-Possible Mets starters Mike Pelfrey and Jason Vargas combined to pitch 4 scoreless innings, allowing only 2 hits

-The game's only run came on a first inning home run by LF Terrmel Sledge
-Padres pitchers involved in the shutout included starter Clay Hensley and set-up pitcher Scott Linebrink, new acqusitions Heath Bell and Justin Hampson, along with Scott Strickland, Steve Watkins, Aaron Rakers, and Jared Wells

-Matt Morris struggled in his spring debut for the Giants, allowing 7 earned runs in 1.2 innings
-Ben Sheets also made his spring debut, pitching for the Brewers, and allowed 2 runs in 2 innings
