-Johan Santana made his spring debut, allowing one run on three hits and three walks in two innings

-Highly rated prospect pitcher Homer Bailey allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in two innings in his spring debut

-Carl Pavano, who has missed large portions of each of the last two seasons, started for the Yankees and pitched two innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks
-Cole Hamels started for the Phillies and pitched three scoreless innings with one strikeout
