The Best and Worst of the Week
The Best1) Ian Kinsler: He hit .476 this past week, along with 4 home runs, more than anybody else in the past 7 days. Overall in 2007 he is hitting .343 with 6 home runs.
2) Tim Hudson: 14 innings, 1 run on 9 hits this week. He has an 0.86 ERA overall this season, and has pitched at least 7 innings each time out.
3) Oakland A's: The Athletics won three games on walkoff hits over the past week, including two against the Yankees. The only game they lost against the Yankees, they lost by one run.
4) Red Sox: Boston outscored opponents 32-7 this week, and those 32 runs came in just 4 games, thanks to 3 off days (2 from rain).
The Worst
1) Derek Jeter: Jeter made 3 errors this week, which, combined with last week, gives him 6 on the season. He only made 15 all of last season.
2) Angels Offense: The Angels offense could score only 13 runs over 5 games, and that was after they could score only 3 runs in the final 2 games of last week.
3) Ryan Zimmerman: The Nats' 3rd baseman had only one hit in his 22 at-bats over the past 7 days, to go along with 4 strikeouts.
