-1977: The major league record for most runs scored by both teams in one inning was set, as the Indians scored 13 and the Red Sox scored 6 in the 8th inning.
-1985: Cal Ripken sprained his ankle in a third inning pick-off play on game 444 of his record games played streak, but did not leave the game, and continued playing the next day.
