DL Report
Arizona D-Backs: Carlos Quentin (slight tear in left labrum) took batting practice Monday and Tuesday, and is expected to begin taking at-bats in extended spring training in Tuscon as early as Friday. Randy Johnson (recovery from back surgery) allowed 2 hits in 6 innings while striking out 4 in single-A Visalia on Sunday, and reported no back problems.Cleveland Indians: Cliff Lee (strained right abdominal) allowed just one hit in 2 innings in a rehab start for single-A Kinston today.
Florida Marlins: Taylor Tankersley (shoulder tendinitis) could come off the DL on Friday.
Kansas City Royals: Octavio Dotel (strained oblique) could return from the DL on April 20th as a best-case scenario.
Los Angeles Angels: Bartolo Colon (rotator cuff tear) allowed 1 ER in 5 innings for single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday. Colon is expected to throw approximately 90 pitches from AAA Salt Lake on Sunday. Jered Weaver (forearm tendinitis) will make his 2nd start for Rancho Cucamongo tonight, and is expected to throw about 90 pitches. Chone Figgins (two broken fingers) could possibly start rehab as early as next week.
Los Angeles Dodgers: Rafael Furcal (sprained ankle) went 0-for-4 as DH for single-A Inland Empire on Tuesday. He will make an appearance again tonight, and is expected to play shortstop.
New York Yankees: Chien-Ming Wang (pulled right hamstring) is going to have to make at least 2 minor league starts before he can rejoin the major league team.
